Nature’s Palette

Here is a little natural materials and inspiring nature photography archive. These aren’t finished works, but rather bits and pieces, that I have gathered for workshops, therapy sessions as well as my own creative explorations. I have also included snapshots of little things and evocative nature imagery that continue to inspire me. Over the years,  I have also often created little ephemeral pieces in nature or with community, but have rarely captured these moments in imagery.

Below is a glimpse into different textures, shapes and colours. Each material or photograph holds an energy, something tangible about place and story. It is like a little altar of gathered things.  I invite you next time you are out taking a walk in either urban or wilder settings, to begin looking closer at the possibility of nature as a muse. Perhaps you might be inspired to write a poem, or collect a fallen leaf and create something from it. In this way, maybe we can begin to see everything as ‘nature’s palette’…
